I quickly switched to my computer speakers for better audio quality. While not a deal-breaker, audiophiles might find this aspect lacking. Thankfully, the visual experience compensates for this minor setback.Display Quality:As a secondary screen for my MacBook Air, the Sceptre monitor holds its own. The display quality is commendable, delivering crisp visuals that are not as high-quality as the MacBook, but is a fairly good companion to it, specially if you don’t really need extremely high-quality graphics. Great budget monitor for gaming and work
For $100+ you get a good looking 1080 p monitor with a fairly high refresh rate and other perks, like AMD free sync. There is some setup required such as going into displays setup in windows to select 100 hz refresh rate and turning on far and adaptive sync in your gpu software, but nothing you won’t have trouble with if you’ve played games on pc. People worried about dpi on 27 inch monitor with 1080p, don’t. Images are clear and crisp and hard as I try, I don’t see individual pixels in Word or Emails. I’ve noticed some impressive performance improvements using free sync /fsr with my mini pc with a mobile 780M IGPU. I also really like the monitor menu joystick selector and 2 HDMI and 1 DSP port so I can easily connect and switch between work laptop and personal PC. Speakers are serviceable and in stereo, but tinny. My mini Bluetooth speaker sounds better. Have not tried pass through audio out – may try a mini sound-bar down the road.

Great product, the visuals are amazing. I use this monitor for gaming and it runs smoother than my tv. What sets this monitor aside from most monitors is that it has an input audio and output audio source which is pretty awesome because I can just plug my headphones into the monitor and hear everything clearly. The audio on its own is not the greatest without headphones as I’m used to the surround sound system on my tv, however if you put headphones into the monitor, the sound is perfect. In terms of the audio without headphones, I had difficulty trying to distinguish where enemies were during games based on their footsteps, however when I put headphones in, I was able to properly distinguish where people were. So I’m conclusion, it’s an amazing product and definitely worth your money, but if you’re gonna use it for gaming, make sure you have headphones or another audio input !!
